I love the music

Dominic Bridge and Rosalia Delfina dance “Cielo!” by Rodolfo Biagi, sung by Andrés Falgás. What beat are they dancing to throughout the song? The classes start at 1930 in the Metropole Hotel on MacCurtin Street.

Interested in Nuveo?

It is not tango. It is not vals. It is not milonga. It is nuevo. Witness Serkan Gokcesu & Cecilia Garcia having fun. Check out one sample below:

On Saturday 16th February finger food included plus the Cork Cricket Club has a full bar. Bookings to Hazel at tangocork@yahoo.ie or at the desk on Wednesdays at weekly class. Check out the details here

For the final class of the year

Noelia Hurtado and Carlitos Espinoza dance “Ríe, payaso“ by Juan D’Arienzo, sung by Carlos Casares. Tango classes will start for the final time this year at 1930 this Wednesday in the Metropole Hotel, MacCurtain Street. I love how they laugh at the end when it has gone wrong but it doesn’t matter. It is tango!

Slowness and quickness

Eva Icikson and Brenno Marques dance “Una vez” by Osvaldo Pugliese, sung by Alberto Morán in a wonderful manner. The slowness and the pace interact in a beautiful way with memorising sacadas. Classes will start at 1930 on Wednesdays in the Metropole Hotel, MacCurtain Street. Dance Tango. You know you want to.

Things are slightly different

Tango tonight is slightly different. There will be a beginner’s class at 1930 in the Metropole Hotel, MacCurtin Street. Afterwards there will be a practica where you can be into practice what you learnt.

Carlos Gavito and Maria Plazaola dance at a wonderful tango show. I love how she spends so much time out of her axis. Perhaps she should join a club?

Ray Darcy, from RTE radio, says you should try. What is the worst that could happen? There is always the milonga on Sunday I suppose…
